For almost thirty years the study and performance of Shakespeare's plays on Shakespeare Day has been a Watkinson tradition. This year, students applied new found and refined technological skills to create a presentation of the play they chose to focus on. In groups, students summarized their play, translated their character's Shakespearean lines, annotated and analyzed Acts and scenes, and created a video presentation to tell the story of their play.
Taking on a Shakespearean play is no small feat, and through this process our 8th graders continuously critically thought, regularly collaborated and communicated, jointly problem solved, and gallantly expressed themselves through each step of the preparation and final presentations of their play.
Each step to this process required patience, resiliency, and dedication. Every student worked tremendously hard on each step of the project, and for that we are grateful and proud of each and every individual! Congratulations to the 8th Graders for taking on Watkinson's newest approach to Shakespeare Day!
Congratulations to all of our students on their final video presentations!
